Within limits, folks can say what they think on here. It's an open discussion forum, and anyone has the right to free speech, and no one is going to agree with everything.

My question is more with the original post. The person they encountered was running for city council and lived in Germantown? I don't think so. It doesn't work that way. There are residency requirements, so that may require ''some homework'' in its own.

A lot of the information about candidates really won't surface until closer to the election. In the meantime, one of the best sources of information is the Memphis Flyer, available free at many restaurants and retail locations, or online at www.memphisflyer.com and click on the politics tab on the left side of the page.

Also, for a complete listing of candidates, you can go to the WMC-TV website at www.wmcstations.com, page down to the MidSouthVotes link, and that will take you to a page that you can page down and get the candidates names in the races for our District 5, and for the three positions in our Super District 9 race.

Is CANA split into more than once city council district? I thought our city council district was District 2...am I wrong? I live south of Quince and east of Colonial.

Stephens

Something about candidate Stephens that I find strange is that he was pres. of Cooper Young Dev. Corp, and on the Cordova Leadership thingy, he owns a realty co. and a landscaping co., & is an attorney, seems like too many hats to me.
Aren't there only 24 hours in a day?
