This is a reminder that the Save Our Mental Health Services (SOS)
Coalition
is having a forum on The Mental Health System in Rhode Island, on
Monday,
May 11th at 5 p.m. at the Oasis at 1280 North Main Street in
Providence.
This forum will feature two long-time experts, Craig Stenning, Director
of
the Department of Mental Health, Retardation and Hospitals (MHRH), and
Senator Rhoda Perry, Chairwoman of the Senate Health and Human
Services
(HHS) Committee. Also present will be Representative David Segal, a
great
supporter of the issues of people with mental illness. A spokesperson
from
Congressman Patrick Kennedy's office has also been invited.

This is our chance to meet with the experts on the mental health system
in
RI, to discuss issues including the global Medicaid waiver and the
Consumer
System of Care, both of which will affect how mental health services
are
provided in our state. Come ask our speakers about these latest
developments.
