Meramec Meadows Subdivision

My property's landscape has a serious drainage problem and I've hired a company to install some drains. They're going to be starting the project very soon and it just occurred to me, "Do I need to get the project approved by the HOA or any other governing body?" I just recently moved here and I don't want to ruffle anyone's feathers. However, I need to resolve this problem asap in order to protect my largest investment, my new house.
