Fire Prevention and Preparedness Tips:

Aug 30, 2007

?•Replace smoke alarm batteries once a year and replace smoke alarms once every 10 years
?•Have heating units inspected and cleaned annually by a certified specialist
?•Make sure nothing is blocking any fire safety device and promptly report any sign of damage to May Management
?•Be sure to have a family evacuation plan. Practice escaping from each room and consider escape ladders if you live on the second floor
?•Take pictures of the contents in your unit now and after a fire. This will serve as proof of ownership for the insurance company.
