The Violations and Safety Committee is working tirelessly on ways to improve our community.
There were numerous crimes being committed in our neighborhood, but the number of incidents has dramatically been reduced by the Jacksonville Sheriff?’s Office patrols. The patrols started in July and the shifts are scheduled in rotations to cover different days and times.
Another important issue for this committee involves a major violation that almost all owners are accountable for and it must be corrected. The Association must have a copy of all unit keys in case of an emergency involving multiple units.
The keys will only be used in dire emergencies and an attempt to contact the unit owner will be made before Association personnel enter a unit.
All owners should submit a key and 3 contact numbers to May Management as soon as possible.
If an owner does not submit a key to May Management, the Association will be forced to fine any owner who is still in violation.
A series of reminder letters and warnings will sent to the owners in violation until all keys are collected.
The committee is also focused on the beauty of our neighborhood. This includes satellite dishes installed incorrectly, the large amount of dog waste and the lack of dogs on leashes. This will continue to be a problem if not kept in check.
Owners have been notified of satellite dishes in violation and some dog stations have been installed around the community. More stations will be ordered as soon as the funds are approved.
Duval County Animal Control has also been notified of the leash situation. All unleashed animals are subject to be taken by animal control.
