April Board Meeting Motions:

1)Collections Procedure: The Board unanimously approved the collections procedure as presented by Tessa Clark, Treasurer (see June Motions for update).

2)Meet and Greet Budget: The Board unanimously approved a budget in the amount of $50.00 for the social event on April 26.

May Board Meeting Motions:

No official business required a motion.

June Board Meeting Motions:

1)Board Meetings Cancelled: The Board unanimously approved to cancel the July and August Board Meetings. The next Board Meeting will be at 6:30PM September 16 at the clubhouse.

2)Landscaping: The Board unanimously approved the irrigation repairs recommended by Cypress Landscape.

3)New Collections Procedure: The Board unanimously approved a new collections procedure advised by Bob Tankle, a collections attorney. The procedure will expedite the current procedure by 30 days and the Association will not be charged for the legal fees (the delinquent owner accounts will be charged instead).

4)Violations Fining Procedure: The Board unanimously approved the proposed fining schedule by the Violations and Safety Committee Chair, Jason Bifolck.
Any violation of the Merrill Pines Rules and Regulations will be subject to a fine. Most violations will adhere to the following schedule: 1) First offense: warning letter;
2) Second offense: intent to fine letter;
3) Third offense: fine letter ?– fines range from $15.00 - $250.00 depending on the severity of the violation;
4) Fourth offense: additional fine letter ?– fines can increase up to $5,000.00; and
5) Fifth offense: legal action ?– the Association will seek legal assistance to collect the fines due.
