Verde Ridge Residents Have Their First Block Party

The Verde Ridge residents stepped up to the challenge of organizing their very first block party to support the National Neighborhood Night Out. It was a huge success and we had so much FOOD! This was the first national night out for Mesa Verde and Verde Ridge did a great job at participating. The Willis family introduced their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter to the neighborhood. We welcomed them to San Antonio with open arms. The Sundborg family celebrated the home coming of their husband and father, Mike Sundborg a local physician that was called to Iraq last year and has recenlty come home. The Burrage family introduced their new baby daughter Camryn and the family dog Coby. The Zook family enjoyed the company of their neighbors and was excited to see the block party come together. The Khan family made some really delicious Indian food and shared their stories of India. The Rivers family introduced themselves and we all enjoyed the opportunity to finally get a chance to sit down and chat with them. The national night out program was a success for Verde Ridge and plans for next year are already underway. The Mesa Verde HOA will be looking into getting organiztions to donate to our festivities.
