Dangerous streets and sidewalks

Posted in: Regent Park
What if anything is the city going to do about our streets.I live on a street where the city of Detroit Or Wayne County , let me know which one, have renewed the curbs but yet the streets remain damaged from snow and years of wear and tear. Also the trees that where planted years ago are now becoming our enemy. They are uplifting our side walks and I noticed that the sidewalks where replaced as well as the streets on the north side of Gratiot/State Fair area, very nicely. But ours have not yet been touched. When asked; the concrete company gave us a price that they are willing to charge for repair. Is this legal will the city be coming in our direction. The company clames that they will for a price that we will be acessed. When are the city going to take some responsibility for damages to streets and sidewalks so that when I stroll my infant she does not get a head injury from all the bumpy sidewalks and the children can ride safely on their bikes without bending their rims. Please let me know if the area between Hayes and Gratiot,State Fair and Eight Mile will ever see relief.
