  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor

Our HOA is plagued once again this year with poor service from Greenlink Landscaping Services of Gaithersburg, MD.   This Memorial Day Weekend 2012 has been mared by 2 to 3 foot high grass growing in some of our common area.   Yet we never learn that Greenlink has refunded the HOA for failing to perform.  Once again this spring the firm is not cutting the common area grass that it has contracted to do.  Residents can do better choose a firm with management capabilities and ethical practices.

It actually depends on your contract how often they mow, usually every 7-10 days. There should also be a set number of cuts, usually 28. If they fail to perform 28 cuts, then the contract should state that they will reimburse the HOA.

If they are failing to perform, there should be verbage in the contract that can put them on notice.  If they fail to improve performance, you should be able to terminate for failure to perform.
