Agreed,  let's talk about drivers who talk on cell phones and drive 40 mph through the neighborhood,  with kids in the back seat ! ! !  

 

First off,  with kids,  they shoud lbe more aware of the risk,  second, what kind of an example are they setting for their kids.

 

25 MPH speed limit means just that:  it's an UPPER LIMIT,  when there are no adverse conditions, like darkness, or children present.  When children are present,  we should be driving more slowly.

 

So, yes, absolutely agree,  when we solve the other problems in the neighborhood,  maybe we canworry about dinosaurs.  Until then, I see them as being someone's attempt at lightening up the mood in the neighborhood. 

In fact, maybe if we started posting the car descriptions and license plates, with dates and times, that are speeding through the enighborhood,  would that get the driver's attention ?

Well actually, on Smith Mill rd. It's pretty easy to catch. It's a long uphill stretch, and I know for a fact there are several who speed each morning. Speed bumps are an option but, in my opinion, to drastic to the apeal of the neighborhood. More affective center medians could be a good option, but that would take the entire neighborhood's concent. Perhaps start with a simple suggestion box at the entrances to properly gauge people's support.

Dino down - Dino up ? I certainly hope this wasn't an act of vandalism ! That would be a shame to think that we have neighbors in our community that are so narrow minded and cause destruction to others property. What's worse than having a dinosaur on you lawn ? - a dead dinosaur! All kidding aside, let's help the guy out! So as a community we should ask our friendly Dino owner if he needs help restoring T Rex.
