Bay St.Louis pays the same rates as us but gets 18 more channels for their family cable package. In Biloxi, Cableone charges $96/year less for its Basic cable package than Mediacom for its Family cable package and provides 10 more channels than we have. It looks like the St. Andrews franchise should be changed to Cableone.

Mediacom

You're not the only one complaining about Mediacom service. It's terrible. I complained to the empty ears of Mediacom and St. Andrews office. I've contacted Mediacom every few months, since I moved to St. Andrews 2002, to be told of no plans for update in our area in the near future. Cable One tells me that Mediacom has a contract with our area so they cannot give us service. Too bad. I switched to satellite. Our house will be on the market for sale soon, so I'm sure that new owners will probably choose satellite over Mediacom, too. I wish you luck.

IPTV on horizon

I'll be glad when Bellsouth is able to offer IPTV. They are doing it in major cities like Atlanta now. I am told we should see it the next couple of years.
Imagine, over 1500 channels to choose from in HI-Def; they say cheaper than cable or satellite.
