I have received information on the progress being made by CENTEX on their apartment project. Following points are probably of interest to this neighborhood:
* Centex has contacted Mr. Bannwolf, (Dist 9 Councilman), and NEISD Superintendent (Dr. Richard Middleton) and have letters from them supporting the project. Additionally, they have contacted Mr. Jim McAden of the Dist 9 Neighborhood Alliance. Mr. McAden had concerns about traffic, but understood that CENTEX is doing everything possible to make it work.
CENTEX stated ''This is not a low-income, tax-credit project that will upset the demographic balance of the community''.
CENTEX is working with The Bexar County Commissioners and others as they are working to bring their project in.
Mr. Holland of CENTEX has contacted me to see if I had any feedback for him from the Morning Glen community. He is also working to contact Mr. Turpin.
