Our granddaughter Allie Fisher passed away in June 2013 at the age of 3.5 with a rare brain tumor called gliomatosis cerebri.  It was sudden and swift and she died within 3 months leaving our daughter Kelly, son-in-law Kyle and their daughter Evie devastated. In the short time since her passing they have organized a team in the Head For The Cure 5k event held every year at Corporate Woods.

Last year our team, Team Little Owl, had 230 members who participated. I was hoping anyone who likes social events such as these would sign up and join our team to help raise money for research and a cure.

This year the event is Sunday August 23rd and starts at 8am.You can participate in the competetive 5k run or just enjoy walking and chatting with others. Be sure to sign up on the Team Little Owl when registering. We meet at the Team Little Owl tent that morning and pick up our HFTC packages and team shirt.

Team Little Owl  is on Facebook where you can find out more about Allie's life and the annual Allie Sale held on her birthday to raise funds for the Childrens' Brain Tumor Project. Please visit our page and like us. Thank you and hope to see you at the walk.
