Reminders from Officers Cole and Hendrex
Know who your workers are before giving them the run of your house.
Once again, everyone is reminded NOT to place outgoing mail in your mailbox. Checks to pay bills were stolen from a mailbox on Conway Valley recently. The bank informed the resident that her account had been raided by mailbox thieves who ?“wash?” these checks and use the original signature to write in their own amounts.
As a result of an increase in nighttime crimes, be careful not to leave wallets or purses in plain view when you come home for the day. Criminals are casing houses and police have made numerous arrests in these crimes but still remind you to set the alarm when you come home for the evening.
Do not leave personal belongs in your vehicles. Be sure to lock your vehicles whether or not you have a garage door.
Remember, if you are a subscriber, call the Patrol before leaving town, so that your doors and windows will be checked daily while away. We do not pick up mail, but we do, however, pick up your newspapers.
We thank everyone for your input and for reporting suspicious activity in the neighborhood. This information helps the police to determine the type of criminal activity and neighborhood patterns.
And, always call 911 first, then the Mt. Paran
Security Patrol.
