The Food Pantry at St.Matthew-Trinity Lutheran Church, 690 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket serves 912 needy city residents per month.
In a humane atmosphere, the church food pantry serves clients fresh bakery products, canned protein, fresh vegetables and health and beauty aids. Our pantry has been existence since January 1996, and has received most of its food supply from the Rhode Island Community Food Bank for 13 cents per pound.
However, the RI Food Bank has been short on many items. A critical missing item the food bank needs is breakfast cereal, protein bars, cereal bars, and Pop Tarts, which the state food bank cannot obtain.
Without federal breakfast , more Pawtucket residents are crowding our food pantry. We do not have what people need.
For verfication of this letter, please contact church secretary Jennifer Hughes and Pastor Cheryl Larsen Lawing at 723-5632.
Thank you for your time, patience, and consideration.
Respectfully,
James Matuszek
