Thankful in mine with Beautiful Day and Flowers

A prayer for change just for a day!


Just for today. May today there be inner peace within you and others. May you trust your highest powers that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of your faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you be content knowing you and others are children of God. Let this presence settle into our bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise, think and love. It is there for each and every one of you. May you share this peace and presence with others.

The World is Mine

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman
And wished I were as beautiful
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy.
The lad who sold it had such charm.
I talked with him, he seemed so glad.
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word.
I forgot, he couldn't hear.

I woke up early today, excited over all the things
I get to do before the day ends...


My job is to choose what
kind of day I am going to have.


Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or ...
I can be thankful that the grass
is getting watered for free.


Today I can grumble about my health or...
I can rejoice that I am alive.


Today I can mourn my lack of friends or...
I can excitedly embark upon a
quest to discover new relationships.


Today I can whine because I have to go to work or...
I can shout for joy
because I have a job to do.


Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or...
I can feel honored because life has provided
shelter for my mind, body and soul.


Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped ...
And here I am, the sculptor
who gets to do the shaping.


Today I am going to have a BEAUTIFUL DAY...
Because I am blessed with
so many gifts in my life.

Outstanding leaders like Jeff Bezos, the founder and chief executive officer of Internet retailer Amazon.com take thanking people very seriously. Bezos once told The Wall Street Journal, “I try to use Tuesdays and Thursdays to say thank you to people. I still don’t do that nearly enough. It’s a classic example of something that’s never the most urgent thing to do. But it’s actually very important, in a soft way, over a long period.”



Do you spend enough time each week thanking people? Would you thank your customers, colleagues and friends more if you set aside a specific time each week to do nothing but thank people? What impact would showing your appreciation more often to the people around you have upon your business, community, and family?

Do not undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others.
It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Do not set your goals by what other people deem important.
Only you know what is best for you.

Do not take for granted the things closest to your heart.
Cling to them as you would your life,
for without them, life is meaningless.

If I had a choice
An angel's what I'd be,
And everything that happened
I'd be there to see.

You'd be right there with me
To wrap my wings around,
Only you would know I'm there
