NAP- Neighborhood Alliance of Pawtucket

We thought we'd let you know about our neighborhood Blodgett/Waltham this
evening - It is no exaggeration to say that around 100 cars, almost all from
outside of the neighborhood, are parked on the streets - a number of cars parked
on the wrong side of the street - apparently all of the occupants of those cars
are attending a party at a house in the middle of Waltham.  Although the party
is a block away, we can hear it in our houses even with the windows closed.
We did call the police to alert them about the party; they said they were aware
of it, but as long as the party was reasonably contained the police would not
interfere with it.  Our major concern is that with that many party goers
obviously intoxicated, if a disagreement/fight did break out, it could turn into
a difficult to contain riot.   And a  continuing concern many of us have is that
our property values will decline even further as it appears that the tenants
renting from absentee landlords on Waltham haven't any regard or responsibility
for the neighborhood.  We're not sure where  to registrar our complaints or even
if such letters would even get any attention.

October 11th is the next meeting date for Woodlawn Neighbors at the Woodlawn Community Center at 7pm, 210 West Avenue

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, September 14^th from 9:30-11:00am.

We will have the privilege to have as guest speakers:

Ms. Melissa Flaherty and Mr. Jim Ruthowski from the Pawtucket Housing Authority.

They will inform us about the needs of the residents of the Pawtucket Housing Units, violent incidents that they have to confront, statistical records, and their efforts to ensure the safety of their community.

Peace will be realized only by forging bonds of trust between people at the
deepest level,in the depths of their very lives. AllPozabilities reign forever!
