Sample Talk About It Guidelines-Ver.2

Guidelines for

The purpose of the “Talk About It” forum is to provide a means whereby neighbors can ask questions and discuss issues, interests, and their points of view regarding topics of interest to residents of the "INSERT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD HERE".

Please keep in mind that irony, sarcasm, and “insider comments and jokes” are not easily understood in written postings and the discussion area will be a place where everyone will refrain from rudeness, name-calling, gossip, and swearing (including using swear words that are only partially spelled out). When posting, please make your point, request or proposal so that everyone can understand it and then let others reply. Neighborhood Link has “Terms of Use” policies that describe postings that will be deleted. If you would like to know what these are, please check Neighborhood Link’s Terms of Use.

This site is a sign of what the neighborhood is about and what its values are. It is like a billboard advertising "INSERT YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD HERE", so remember that anyone in the world can read what you write. This does not mean that we can not discuss our problems here, it means we should be aware of how the discussion is presented.

In order to keep the “Talk About It” area fresh, discussion threads will be taken down 2 months after the last posting to a thread. You do not have to put your name on your posting, but if you leave the “Your Name” area blank, the word “Anonymous” will show as the author of the posting. Having something in the “Your Name” area is helpful for those following the thread of a discussion, even when it is a pseudonym. If you believe in what you write, you should be proud enough to sign your name.
