The region will celebrate the new 20-mile light rail system with parties
along the alignment on Saturday, December 27.  There will be free
celebrations at five of the city's nine light rail stations, with a
centerpiece community party near the new Tempe Transportation Center.

Priest and Washington - interactive exhibits on water & electric safety.
Third St. and Mill Ave. - interactive games, music and food.
Fifth St. and College - join the main celebration with live music,
exciting tents and activities and fireworks.
Dorsey Lane and Apache Blvd. - activities for children and displays of a
fire truck, graffiti truck and Police Command Van.
Price and Apache Blvd. - crafts, face painting and inflatable bouncers
will entertain families, along with mariachis and other entertainment
acts.
