I’m a nurse and since RNs are in demand, I can pretty much get a job anywhere and want to pick the best place in the country for my 2 kids (4 year old boy and a 6 year old girl).  I saw Fort Collins was Ranked ‘One of the Best Places to Raise Your Kids’ by Business Week and ‘2nd Best Place to Live’ by Money magazine.

Can anyone comment on that?  Are there good parts of Fort Collins or bad parts I should know about?  Are some schools better than others?  My kids are into swimming and I like to ride my bike.  Are there good pools? Good trails?  Anyone grow up in Fort Collins and can comment on that?

Thank You for any help!!   I really appreciate any advice! Laughing

BTW I can afford about $250,000 for a house…will that get me into a good neighborhood?

Hi Heather,

Fort Collins is a great place to live and raise children.  I am a Realtor here and the community as a whole is perfect for you and your family.  There are a number of city pools and a number of pools in neighborhoods.  Fort Collins has prides itself on the bike paths.  If you would like more information regarding homes in the area or more information on Fort Collins as a community...feel free to email me at tony@infinitygrouprealty

Thanks Tony!!  thanks for the response, I’ve been getting excited about Fort Collins, it does look perfect for my family…I found the website http://www.fcgov.com/parks/trails.php and you have some gorgeous trails there!

But, then I looked at the weather today and saw that Fort Collins was 28 degrees brrrr Frown (It’s 50 degrees here in Fort Worth and I’m freezing!!)  How short is your summer??… is it always cloudy and overcast there!?  That could be a deal breaker for this shorts and flip-flops girl!!  I love the sun!
