The membership of the CPAAA wants to thank Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly.

Commissioner Kelly established the citizens police academy . It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge and thank him. We appreciate his insights and passion for working together with the community and educating the community. We value his leadership. Commissioner Kelly created the Citizens’ Police Academy over eleven years ago and is supportive of working together with our alumni association.
Commissioner Kelly has attended our events and has enabled our organization to have opportunities to work with the best police department.

The powerful partnership between the NYPD and our membership results in citizens working with police officers and provides for lasting success. The Academy program empowers citizens by educating us. The Department then provides a means for us to work together with members of the NYPD to contribute to our communities and also to improve communications between the police and the communities that they serve.
