Topic: Learn How to Care for Your Trees
Speaker: Dr. Steve Kirkindall

In honor of Earth Day, 4-22, and National Arbor Day, 4-26, North Cliff N.A. proudly invites you to attend a presentation on ?“How to Care for Your Trees.?” You are encouraged to bring a leaf from a tree in your yard that you have yet to identify. Our speaker, Dr. Steve Kirkindall, will tell what species the tree is and how to properly care for it.

In addition, Steve, who is also a North Cliff resident, will give general tree care tips. We are fortunate to have wonderful trees and to ensure long and healthy lives, proper care is paramount.

Steve?’s lifelong fascination with nature was fostered by childhood experiences in the mixed pine/hardwood forests of southeast Texas. His research with the U.S. Forest Service pioneered application of the universal design concept to non-urban nature trails, and he remains an advocate for accessibility in outdoor settings.
Steve holds a Ph.D. in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University and maintains a strong commitment to work for the protection of our natural heritage through environmental education and nature interpretation.

A raffle will be held. Winners will receive something special from nature.
