April 1 - Wednesdays at Williams.
Williams Park, between 1st and 2nd Ave. N. and 3rd and 4th St. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bringing vibrant energy and new life to Williams Park and creating a community gathering place in downtown St. Petersburg. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in Williams Park, play checkers, have a picnic lunch and enjoy local entertainment. Activities will vary weekly.
April 2 - St. Petersburg Festival of States ~ Honda Grand Prix Illuminated Night Parade and Fireworks.
Winding through downtown St. Petersburg's to the beautiful waterfront. 7:30 p.m. Fabulous floats light up the night sky, music, dancing and beads galore, the parade provides an enchanted, fun- filled evening for everyone. "World's Fastest Spring Break Party" to Kick Off 2009 IndyCar Season. www.gpstpete.com or 727-898-INDY. The fifth-annual Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will mark the beginning of the 2009 IndyCar Series season. Music, fun, great food and three days of wheel-to-wheel racing action along the beautiful waterfront streets of downtown St. Pete.
Come see two Firestone Indy Lights races, the Acura Sports Car Challenge of St. Petersburg American Le Mans Series race and the Honda Indy St. Pete IndyCar Series race -- all in just one weekend.

Walter Fuller Park, 7891 26th Avenue N. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Annual Earth Day and Arbor Day celebration. The free family festival features horticultural and environmental exhibits, programs and seminars highlighting ways to landscape effectively, conserve natural resources, recycle, and improve the environment. Featuring more than 200 exhibitors and vendors, the festival runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days at the 133-acre park in west St. Petersburg.
