O Christmas tree...

Dec 10, 2004

There is just something to be said for tradition, I suppose. In an effort to make holiday decorating a little easier it was suggested that, in lieu of trees, tasteful yard decorations could be used. Comments posted on the website showed not one who was in favor of omitting the trees. Most of the replies cited tradition as the predominant reason for continuing with the trees.
There have also been comments from folks outside of our neighborhood who said they make it a point to visit during the holidays because of the decorations. We need to do everything we can to make our area attractive. By encouraging interest and traffic, we let potential buyers see what we have to offer. Therefore, I encourage you to maybe do a little more with outside decorations. However, that doesn?’t mean have so many lights that small planes mistake us for the airport. Simple and tasteful.
By the way, if anyone is interested, I have two extra trees in my driveway due to a miscalculation on my part. If you are interested in an additional tree, please stop by.
