SPEEDING

Sep 23, 2007

Councilman Dave Siebert?’s office has received many calls about speeding in residential neighborhoods and major roadways in Phoenix. Speeding is a public safety concern and the city dedicates many resources to help curb this problem. One option is to call 602-534-SPEED, which is a hotline to report areas of continuous speeding. If you decide to report, please include the exact location and time of day where the speeding is occurring. Phoenix police officers, who monitor the hotline, compile a list of these areas for patrolling officers and our radar monitoring trailer. The radar trailer is an educational tool. It presents the drivers with the speed they are traveling, but does not take photos of vehicles exceeding the speed limit.
