North of Grand Neighborhood Association

National Night Out August 5

Mark your calendar for the annual North of Grand Neighborhood National Night Out event. Get to know who your neighbors are while jamming to live entertainment by the North of Grand band, consume free root beer floats, win door prizes for both adults and children and learn how you can keep our community crime-free.

When: 6 to 8 p.m. on August 5th

Where: The parking lot at Boesen the Florist/Java B Good 3801 Ingersoll in Des Moines.

There will be a children?’s parade prior to the event with games starting at 5 p.m. on the front lawn of Colleen Kinney?’s house, 632 40th Street. Anyone is welcome to participate. Decorate your bike, trike, or wagon, and dress up in a fun costume. At 5:30 p.m., we?’ll start a children?’s parade on the sidewalk, traveling east down Woodland and turning right on 38th. The children?’s parade will end at the parking lot of Boesen?’s.
