Alice Rodine Award - Des Moines Neighbors Thu April 24 6:30pm

The Alice Rodine Awards Potluck Dinner was held on April 24.

NOG's citizen of the year award was awarded in the memory of Joe Reid, who passed away on March 3rd. Accepting the award was his wife, Mary Reid.

NOG's business award for 2008 went to Grand Suites for always opening their facility to NOG for their many monthly and quarterly meetings.

NOG also recognized city employees Mike Ludwig and Jason Van Essen for their work helping organize the Ingersoll Restoration project and working on the Dahl?’s site plan.

It was a marvelous evening of sharing of great food & stories by all the represented neighborhoods in Des Moines.

It was marvelous to see such great representation by the Des Moines Police Department, including the presence of former Chiefs of Police Molder and McCarthy, and current Chief of Police Bradshaw!
