cars on street

Posted in: Woodlands
What is the problem with the homeowners who continue to park on the streets and common areas when they have empty garages and driveways? On Windypine Dr., the cars are parked on BOTH SIDES of the street making it difficult to get around. On Magnolia, cars are parked in the common areas making it look like a lower income living area. This subdivision has already started looking like an extension of nolinsville road...not good.
With the subdivision quite likely to be surrounded by townhomes and apartments property values will fall..Its a shame that this area has not been maintained....Why does the copperfield and hearthstone/hemmingwood subdivisions at least appear to be so much better kept than this neighborhood?
Is it simply a matter of income?.... or is it something else?
subdivision comparison

The Copperfield/Hemmingwood subdivisions should not be compared with the Woodlands as the income levels are not the same, the dues are more than the woodlands (you get what you pay for) and people in these subdivisions are willing to spend more on landscaping. Money on home improvement is better spent in these subdivisions than in the Woodlands.
what it is

What it is, is:

the people parking on the street don't read this website, or if they do, they don't care.

Parking on the street is rampant on Woodlands Ave, Maplesong (common area on the grass), Elmshade, Woodlands Trail...you name it.

Nolensville Rd. is spelled with an ''e''.

Copperfield and Hearthstone are in BRENTWOOD CITY LIMITS. Location, Location, Location. If you don't know the difference between a Brentwood address and a Nashville address you haven't lived around here long. They pay higher association fees. You get what you pay for.

I don't want to volunteer to pay higher dues, but I sure would like to know what it takes to get our association to do something. I think it really gets down to the apparent apathy of the board members. Aside from the annual ''shut up, don't complain, we really don't have time for that'' meeting in October, the only time I have seen any board member was when he recently brought around the petition about the traffic light that suddenly had to be signed within 2 days. Amazing. It's obvious the uproar about the townhouses caused someone to say ''hey, what about that bond money for our traffic light?'' and then the board decided to spring into action.

magnolia common area parking

Can't the Board do anything (I think I know this answer) about the common area parking on Maplesong Dr. between Woodlands Ave and Pineview Lane?
This place looks pretty bad/run down with the cars and trucks parked on the common areas.
