Have you ever wondered what Salado Creek looks like in other people's minds? Well, you are about to visualize what I imagine Salado Creek looks like.

First, as you walk out of the woods, across the glistening, peaceful creek, you'll find a squirrel hiding because it's probably thinking you're a diurnal hunter.

Then you hear "Jay, jay, jay!" and know it is a beautiful Blue Jay.

As you look at the water a frog startles you as it jumps from lilypad to lilypad. You turn around and catch a glimpse of a deer. Whoa!

In the water you see bubbles, then all of a sudden an alligator appears! You run into the woods not sure what to do. You look up, hoping for a sign and see a hawk. You cover your head and ears and want to get out!

A snake is coiled up on a tree. You head back to the water and a fish makes you stop. You look at it and it looks at you back. A turtle comes to visit with the fish, so your friend duty is over. After that you see a daddy long legs. He eats a bug and smiles.

It's nighttime now and you see a brown owl with red beady eyes. That scares you and it's almost time to head back home.

Now you know what a day in Salado Creek might be. I hope you had a fun time visualizing my day.
