Students at Steele Elementary have written imaginative essays about the things they would like to see at Salado Creek. Here's what Joey wrote:
The creek has lots of animals that are really friendly and nice. Some of the animals are little and some are big and some are medium sized.
I like the creek because it is really fascinating to see how the animals live and survive. The creek has beautiful clear and healthy water.
What I really like is that the creek has animals and I love animals. I have been to Salado Creek and there are all kinds of animals. I even saw two ducks walking in the water. Then, a minute later, I looked in the water and I saw an alligator coming out of the water. It looked like a worm coming out of the dirt and then I told my Dad. We took three pictures of the alligator and then we left. It was really fantastic!
