NEAC 2006 ELECTION DEADLINES

NEAC Annual Election

NEAC's Annual Election is held to fill expired positions in NEAC's four Districts. Prospective candidates must live within the District they wish to represent and be at least 16 years of age. All pertinent information including the district boundaries is included in the Election Package which is available at the Near East Side Pride Center, 1393 E. Broad Street 9:30 - 11:00 A.M and 1:00 - 4:00 P.M. Monday thru Friday. A petition of at least 50 signatures needs to be completed, so please allow ample time to complete this requirement.You can designate someone to pick up and return your petition if those hours are not convenient. It is your responsibility to insure that the petition is turned in. Once petitions are turned in, they become the property of the Near East Area Commission (NEAC) and will not be returned for any additions or corrections.Check everything before you turn it in.

Deadline to turn in petitions before 4:30 P.M. at the Near East Side Pride Center, 1393 E. Broad Street.

Monday, May 15, 2006

Verification of Petitions by NEAC Elections Committee.

Tuesday, May 16 thru Friday, May 19, 2006

Prospective candidates will be notified by NEAC Elections Director

Saturday, May 20, 2006

Campaign starts for all candidates certified by the Elections Committee

Saturday, June 3, 2006

VOTING DAY - All FOUR DISTRICTS WILL VOTE AT 1393 E. BROAD STREET 10:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M.
