Jim ... Those questions have been asked and answered on multiple
occasions over the past couple years. So I'll avoid needlessly
repeating myself, I'll refer you to the HUD Office of Inspector
General report posted on our website (go to the top right quick
links at www.columbuscompact.com). Back in 2004, Walter Cates and
Tim Widman asked Pat Tiberi to launch what was a criminal
investigation of the Compact, related to the land puchases. The
investigator quickly dismissed their complaint as baseless, and
confirmed that we followed all regulations in the purchase of the
property. Kathleen's letter is just more of that recycled bulls*it,
and IMHO serves to undermine her leadership credibility and the
integrity of the people associated with SOMB who let her launch that
kind of long-resolved nonsense.
