Dear Jon,
I am in receipt of both your phone message and letter of December 13th.
First of all, there is neither need for us to have a private meeting nor any other meeting to ‘frame’ a meeting. Everything is outlined in my letter of December 5th. I have turned this event over to a very capable individual, Commissioner Annette Whiteside. She has secured permission from Pastor Orton to conduct the public meeting at Zion Baptist Church which is at the corner of Wilson and Fulton. This is part of Pastor Orton’s commitment for his church to become more involved in the community.
The main thrust of this meeting is to have solid visual representation of the finished store and parking lot. This is also good PR for the tenant because these people will be his customers. And finally, it’s good PR for the Compact since you are transitioning to development you can showcase what you can do.
Any future communication should be directed to Commissioner Whiteside. She has informed me that you have not returned her phone call.
Again, this is a presentation to the community. Nothing complicated. I think they’re owed that much since their tax dollars are paying for the project.
Sincerely yours,
Kathleen Bailey
