Proposed Change to NEAC By-Laws

Proposed Changes to the Near East Area Commission By-Laws Submitted by Chair Bailey at the June 2010 monthly business meeting of the Near East Area Commission (NEAC). ARTICLE II. Members CURRENT: Section 1. There shall be twenty-one (21) official members of the Commission to be known as ??œCommissioners.??? PROPOSED CHANGE: Section 1. There shall be seventeen (17) official members of the Commission to be known as ??œCommissioners.??? CURRENT: Section 1. (a) Four members (to be known as ??œDistrict Commissioners???) shall be elected from each of the four (4) geographical districts within the Area. PROPOSED CHANGE: Section 1. (a) Three members (to be known as ??œDistrict Commissioners??? ) shall be elected from each of the four (4) geographical districts within the Area. ARTICLE IV. Meetings CURRENT Section 4.
