********      NorthEast Coalition Meeting March 15, 2009  ******** ********                                                                                   ********

In a most timely manner The NorthEast Coalition meeting this month will feature speakers who are at the top of the news. CATS head Keith parker will talk on the service cuts, are there more to come and from where? He will also speak on the street car, the Lite Rail and the Commuter Rail and what is on the horizon for both.    Also Ned Curran, Chairman of The Committee of 21 will tell us about the work the committee has done on setting priorities identifying funding and how we hope to obtain this funding.  He will also speak on the stimulus money; are we getting any for roads? What's happening with 1-485, are we going to really get it finished, tolls gas mileage fees, and widening of 1-77.     We welcome you all to come and meet with us and share your concerns about the future of how your tax money is spent and why.  In this economy it is incumbent on all to pay attention to the things happening and to voice your concerns to people who make and facilitate the decisions for us all.     Meetings are held the 3rd Sunday of the month, at the University City Regional Library on W.T. Harris Blvd. This month the meeting will be  held in the Story Book Room, at  3:00 PM.  Refreshments will be served.   Any and all responses should be directed to cgftjf@aol.com or 704-596-8288.
