A “Canton Cares” account for monetary donations has been established at Stark Federal Credit Union. All funds collected will be used to purchase gift cards from area merchants. The gift cards will be presented to the laid-off police officers and firefighters to assist them with family expenses.
Those interested in making a contribution can do so until December 15th, 2009 at the Stark Federal Credit Union’s Canton locations: 3426 Cleveland Avenue NW or 4100 Dressler Rd N.W. Donations can also be mailed to: N.E.W., PO Box 8123, Canton, OH 44711. All local residents and businesses are encouraged to help.
