HALLOWEEN NIGHT
We will celebrate our third annual Halloween cookout, weather permitting, this year on Monday October 31, Halloween night. We will have hot dogs, hamburgers, cider and other goodies for anyone who wants to step out. We will have a fire pit to keep us warm so look for your neighbors in the middle of the block. Bring a chair and a snack or a treat to share. Everyone on the street is welcome to come out and spend one of the last good nights outside with our neighbors. The cookout and festivities will begin at 6:00. Note the Halloween safety tips on the back of this flyer provided by the Office of Homeland Security.
PARKING ON THE STREET
Parking on the street is very limited and will only get worse when the snow arrives. Please be considerate of your fellow neighbors and make sure that you are only taking up one spot when you park. There are many places that can accommodate 2 or 3 spots if you pay attention to how you park.
BOTTLE AND CAN COLLECTION
Keep dropping off your returnable bottles and cans in the collection cans on Saturday afternoons.

UPCOMING EVENTS

NIGHT OUT DINNER MEETING

Our next meeting will be a special night out dinner meeting at Zetti?’s Pizza and Pasta in the University Plaza. The food will be Dutch treat, no block club funds will be used for the meal. We will get together to have some fine New York City style Italian food and discuss upcoming plans for the holiday season. We will be discussing decorating the street lights again, organizing the night of caroling, discussing the Gloria Parks annual holiday food drive and any other issues. All over good food. Contact Phyllis at 832-8875 to let us know if you can make it. Everyone is welcome...bring the whole family.

LET?’S BE NEIGHBORLY
We have many new neighbors that have moved onto the street over the last few months. Let?’s go out of our way to welcome them. As the winter approaches let?’s also be mindful of our neighbors who may need help shoveling or getting around. There are many kids on the street so please keep your sidewalk clean so they don?’t have to walk in the street.

The block club is exploring having a website to post information and news. Keep tuned we may have one up and running soon. The address will be announced in an upcoming newsletter.
