Maybe the dog is miserible and is crying for our help. He s probable sick, thirsty, hungry, etc. He s probably barking for our attention to rescue him from abuse. Lets not ignore his cries. Instead lets call the animal control abuse hotline. Let them investigate. There maybe a problem that the police cant even handle. Lets help the poor dog he really needs us to speak up for him. Ok, love all animals and reconize their ways of communication with humans.

The county had code on this that is enforced by the county police. Call them while the barking is going on. Also, call BC Communities, give them the address and a letter can be sent to the home owner. Check out the code on this on the NCC website. I feel your pain. |

I think if you have a problem with dog barking. You must tell the owner before you start crying on here How is the owner to know if you can not simply knock on the door and tell them. If you want to live in a pet free and children free environment perhaps you should inquire about a pet free retirement home .
Speak up or shut up. Re: Dog Barking
Okay, well let me address this properly. I can assure you, if you're dog is barking, it is annoying to your neighbors. The pet owner is absolutely responsible to be a good neighbor and either quiet the dog or bring it inside. If you're not so inclined than you and/or your dog should relocate to the countryside where the dog can bark to it's heart content.

Dogs lovers/owners have many rights fine, but the peace and tranquility of an entire neighborhood is more important. People do not like to confront their neighbors. It leads to bad feelings and people feeling uncomfortable in their own yard. CALL BC CONSULTANTING. They are a neutral third party to can at lease ASK the offending homeowner to quiet the dog or at least let the homeowner know the dog is barking when they are not home. A barking dog is not a happy a dog. A dog owner would like to know their dog is unhappy I am sure, and they would try to fix what ever it was, usually it's loneliness or fear. |
