Police Action - Enough Already
Thanks for the suggestion! Coincidentally, I did the same last night. They were out there until 9:45PM in the street shouting, making all kinds of noise, even laying down along my property frontage. I filed a formal complaint with NCCo Police. Hopefully we will have the same success.
It is a real shame that these older kids ruine it for the younger ones. I understand that kids need places to play, but when their play area is 'abused' by uninvited guests, it becomes a public safety issue. Bottom line is, if these facilities are on YOUR property, you can control the users.
If a car slammed into one of these facilities while in the street, the owner could EASILY be sued for damages due to their maintaining an obstruction within public right-of-way. I am sure that's the Police Department's position.
I will keep calling as long as it's an issue.
