ATTENTION CONCERNED HOME OWNERS AND NEIGHBORS!
Have you noticed the painted markings in our Streets?
Are you curious to what they are there for?
Are you ready for obstacles, obstructions and over grown, unmaintained eye sores?
While beautification of our Community is always welcomed & appreciated-our roads aren't wide enough for islands & there is no plan for on going up keep.
The markings in the Streets on Elizabeth Sweetbriar Lane are so they can erect bottle necking islands in the middle of our Streets as well as circles and islands at our intersections.
The plans for the islands in the middle of the Streets would appear to affect the homeowner's entering and exiting there driveways from any angle or direction.
The plans for the intersections islands and circles appear to be very tight to negotiate the intersections with ease.
It also appeared that the plans included landscaping within the islands as well as at the middle of the intersections circles.
I believe The Board and The Community as a whole should be HEAVILY involved in this project for many reasons, issues, unanswered questions-just to name a few:
1. The ability for emergency vehicles, Trucks, Buses, us as motorists and or pedestrians and our children walking and playing to negotiate our intersections and Streets with ease!
2. The islands that are going up in the middle of the blocks will affect the homeowner's ability to enter & exit their driveways without issue. They will also become an impairment for safe & fluid traffic flow.
3. The landscaping in the proposed plans, who is going to be responsible for the maintenance of the grass, weeds and or flowers? Is the cost & care associated with this covered in our maintenance plan?
4. I'm sure you can come up with many more negatives.
I must say on behalf of the safe community in which we currently live, I believe as a community we need to meet with those running the project and our County Officials. We need a complete understanding of what is going on. I strongly suggest to have a STOP WORK ORDER PLACED ON THIS PROJECT before we have an issue or accident.
We can presently see that there existing issues with our main road entrances, existing Street conditions, handicap ramps.

AFFECTED STREETS
ELIZABETH SWEETBRIAR LANE AT ALL INTERSECTIONS
MALCOLM FORREST ROAD
FLORENCE FIELDS LANE

PHOEBE FARMS LANE
Perhaps after a better understanding this will seem like a good thing but as of now-I can't see one benefit.
