New Cut Road at the Outer Loop was originally Beuta Road which ran from 7th Street to the Stoney
Ford Crossing. In 1860, New Cut Road officially became the name of the road because people kept referring to it as the new road going through the cut.
Today, the 24,000 residents and countless businesses along the corridor find themselves
situated at the southern gateway to Louisville, bookended by 7,000 acres of parkland
a northbound road leading to other attractions including U of L and Churchill Downs.

TARC 'N TROLLEY
How to signal to the driver that you want to get off the trolley:
Pull the overhead cord or push the yellow strip between the windows a block before your stop. TARC buses do not stop traffic; never walk in front of the bus into the street. Wait until traffic has cleared before crossing the street.
