What do you think about the Wendy's project proposed to be built on Joseph and Tchoupitoulas?

Why is it a bad thing?

We have had a Shell station on Magazine & State so long we forgot it was ugly. I don't see this as a bad thing and the people who are auto-opposing it are not thinking it through. The addition of a gas station will keep us from being held hostage by the Shell with the highest prices in town.

We should support it

Veterans Highway

Sounds like we should be careful not to turn Tchoupitoulas into Veterans. There is nothing wrong with local neighborhood business, but why must we tolerate national chain stores with their one size fits all architecture. This development may be the deathnail to the property values and quality of life.

No Wendy's or Gas Station

I have lived in this neighborhood for all of my life (45 years). It is one of the last old neighborhoods left in our city. I am greatly opposed to any fast food chains. I am also opposed to any service station. I feel these types of businesses would be very detrimental to the character of our neighborhood. I also think it would hurt property values. We have recent;y seen an upsurge of renovations and I would like that to continue. If people really want fast food go to Carrollton Ave. or St. Charles. As for gas try the same locations as well. Don't destroy our neighborhood.
