Our snow plow contractor was instructed to plow our development. Unfortuantely they missed a lot of side streets. In addition by the time they were able to arrive in Salem Woods a lot of streets had already iced up. This is not a reflection of not having enough money to pay, etc. The contractor made a few mistakes with this snow plowing incident and actions have been made to correct the areas missed. Salt was laid down on the streets that were missed. The bad part is that there is about 3-4 inches of ice on the ground so the salt may not work as good as it would if there was only 1/2 - 1 inch of snow. Just to clarify, the contractor did come out, he made a few mistakes, corrections were made, now there is not much left we can do except wait for it to melt. All the streets have ice left on them, it is a disaster and they did a crappy job I totally agree. We are at the mercy of the contractor it had nothing to do with the people who were in charge of making the decisions, their job was done. If someone has a new contractor they would like to nominate, now will be the time to pass along their information.
