Thank you to everyone who attended our last meeting held at the park. It was great day to get outside and spend time with our neighbors.
The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm.
The minutes from the September meeting were reviewed by the Secretary Andrew Mackiewicz. These minutes were approved as read.
Mary Beth Coté, the Treasurer, read the Treasury Report. These reports can be seen at any regular meeting. Highlights included reimbursement for snow removal from the State of Delaware, entrance maintenance and yearly dues.
Please note that we will be voting on entrance maintenance and snow removal contracts during our September meeting. Anyone wishing to submit a bid should do so prior to the September meeting.
In addition, the positions of Vice President and Treasurer will be up for election during the September meeting. If you wish to run for either of these positions, please attend the September meeting to be nominated.
Our State Representative, Ed Osienski, has been contacted in regards to the potholes on Darwin Drive.
Ray also provided an update on the Bruster’s Ice Cream property located at the front entrance. The owner of the store has been contacted by the corporate office regarding the condition of the property; however, no response has been received from the store owner. In the meantime, New Castle County has taken over the mowing of the property. Additionally, the abandoned car behind the building has been tagged for removal and will be towed if not removed.
A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting at 12:35 pm.
Our next scheduled neighborhood meeting is Wednesday, September 25th at 7:00 pm in the Shue-Medill choir room. All residents are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
Respectfully submitted,
Andrew Mackiewicz
