robbers and police presence
|
This morning on Valcourt we noticed a few police cars,we assumed there had been some kind of trouble. While we were watching I saw a tall person dressed in Black sprint across the street and go between the houses with a black bag.My daughter ran outside and told the police which way we saw him run. This letter is just to tell my fellow neighbors that those of us who are home during the day are trying to watch out for you while you are gone. The Police presence was awesome I counted at least several police cars. I really dont know what happened but I do know seeing how they responded was very comforting. I saw one person brought back in handcuffs and a car was towed away Just want to say Thank You CMPD ,good job.

Is this also related to WBTV channel 3 doing a story the other night on our Neighborhood? Thankyou so much to those of you watching out for us! We work all day and many don't get home until night time. We really appreciate your extra eyes. There are many rental homes on my street, and many teens home during the day. I have noticed lots of pot and loud music on my street. Ainsworth. I called CMPD and they took 1 hour to get out and then they just asked the guys a few questions and left. The teens went in the woods behind Ainsworth and continued to smoke pot. I was very disappointed in CMPD. |

I believe that the boy was arrested. But I am not sure of all the details. I believe that more information will be given at the next community meeting April 13th at 4:30. Please attend if possible. We need everyones presence to make sure this community continues to strive to be a safe environment for our family and neighbors.

Last Thurs. I checked the Mecklenburg County Sheriff Dept. website to get information on who had been arrested. Sadly the address listed for this suspect is in our very own neighborhood, Corey Commons. I became very angry when I realized this person walked down my street less than 2 hours before he was arrested. I've seen him in the neighborhood. I enjoy my home, neighbors, neighborhhood and refuse to let crime run me off. I ran outside without shoes, jacket, and wild hair to point the police in the direction I saw the suspect run after they arrived. I am home during the day and will continue to keep a watchful eye on my neighborhood. Thieves beware, I am one of the homeowners in the neighborhood the police cautioned you about on the local news. |
