I understand that a lot of people have pets, especially dogs. I see a number of home owners who are responsible pet owners walking their dogs daily and also picking up after them.  However, a few people around us seem to have new pets and they kick them out into the backyard around 5:00 AM to let them "do their business" and then leave them out there for fifteen to twenty minutes. In the meantime, the dogs are barking to be let back in. While I have to get up early for work, my wife doesn't yet every morning she's awaken between 0450 and 0500 by barking dogs.

So if you are one of the owners of a 5 AM barking dog, we'd appreciate you paying attention and letting your pet back inside rather than us having to file a complaint with the police and have them knock on your door early in the morning to remind you. Besides, Schertz PD has better things to be doing than reminding you that you forgot your pet outside.
