A NOTE FROM THE HOA PRESIDENT:

Dear Residents:
The Quarterly Community Meeting was held October 11th, 7PM at the Fire Station. Mayor Hal Baldwin, City Manager Don Taylor, Councilmen Tony Wilenchik and Mike Carpenter, and a host of city department heads were present to address homeowners?’ questions/concerns. We really appreciated the great turnout, and were particularly gratified to see several families with small children. We recognize how difficult it was for these parents to find the time and energy to gather their families so that they could attend a meeting designed to help make their community better. That?’s the kind of sacrifice every community needs.

October is the time for Board elections, and thanks to the nice turnout, we now have all of our Board positions filled. Our new board members are: Bill Richardson, Wayne Shaw, Gayle Johnson, Dan Schwendeman and Tom Robinson. Thank you to all of you who stepped forward to serve.

During the September 15 meeting with the city, a petition was circulated to see how many residents would like to have their Zip code changed to Schertz instead of Cibolo. Benefits could be: lower insurance rates for some, a potential for increased property values and a better sense of community with the city of Schertz.
Living in the city limits of Schertz but having a Cibolo address is confusing for many businesses. Unfortunately, we must have at least 51% of the homeowners in ALL of the local subdivisions sign the petition, and that meeting produced signatures from only 100 homeowners. We need about 700 more. If anyone is interested in canvassing their neighborhood for signatures, please contact me.
