CONCERNS BEING ADDRESSED

The City of Schertz Police Department is enforcing the traffic and vehicle violations.
Many of these were addressed in the newsletter last month, but we feel they need to be brought to your attention again. We suggest residents forewarn their guests, so they may avoid some very hefty fines.

1. Speeding - $4.00 per mile over the speed limit.
2. Driving through stop sign - $135.00
3. Blocking sidewalks while parked in driveway ?– up to $200.00 fine
(Imagine the inconvenience and danger for someone with a stroller, a small child on a bike, or a handicapped person in a wheelchair having to go into the street just to traverse the sidewalk.)
4. Parking within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, or 30 feet of the approach to a stop sign. $1.00-$200.00 fine

There will be additional court cost added to many of these infractions.


NEW EMS along Interstate 35 frontage road is now up and running. The city representative that was at our last HOA meeting informed us the response time is 3 to 4 minutes.
