Call me skeptical, but I find it curious now that Tim Bannwolf has decided to run for mayor he is showing up where he never did before.
Bannwolf's seat is automatically a member of the Airport Noise Abatement Committee. To my knowledge, he has been absent at every meeting since he has been in office.
On Oct. 24, a public hearing took place for the Noise Compatibility Study. To my shock, Bannwolf showed up. The only other airport function I have seen him at was the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new parking garage. The only connection I can make between the two is they were both great photo opportunities.
When a previous resident of Northwood confronted Bannwolf about his attendance at these meetings, he said he is doing far more behind the scenes than he could ever accomplish at committee meetings.
Well, Mr. Bannwolf, now that you want to be mayor ?— what have you accomplished on the airport noise issue?
