ARE YOU CURIOUS?

Is there anyone out there who may be interested in the inner workings of a grass roots community organization? Or maybe you may have some ideas that would make living in your community a lot better? Would you like to get the inside scoop about what's happening in your community before your neighbors? Maybe there is someone in the community that would like to meet some of the movers and shakers of the City. Well if you are a paid member of the Oak Park Community Council, you can show up for the Councils Board
Meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 7:00pm at Calvary Lutheran Church. You will then gain some insight and contribute to a viable
organization that really works for the betterment of your community. These meetings only last 2 hours at the most.

Seriously folks, we know that there are some of you out in the community who would like to try something like this but is a little timid to try. We would like to make it as easy as we can for someone to observe and try something new.

Honestly, we would like to draw some new blood into the workings of our organization. A lot of us are getting up there and we can't function like we used to. We would like to see this organization carried on when we leave and not fold. This Council is known as the best in the City, or one of the best. We would hate to loose it. It is a lot harder to start something up from scratch in an emergency.

Best of all, it is not a secret meeting. Anyone can attend.
